Classrooms

Tyke Town provides high quality child care, while implementing an exceptional educational Preschool Curriculum. Our philosophy at Tyke Town is based on meeting the various developmental needs of children. We believe this includes physical, cognitive, emotional, social and moral developmental areas. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, loving environment that stimulates a child during their many different developmental phases.

Our centers provide age specific classrooms to encourage growth and change in each developmental stage.  Students appreciate this peer-based environment in which they can feel comfortable to learn and grow.   Our programs include Infant, Waddler, Toddler, Preschool, PreKindergarten and Schoolage.
Positive development of your child’s image is of prime importance in our program.  We feel this is provided through a large variety of activities and experiences to enable your child to grow and learn as a unique person.  At Tyke Town, we see the whole developmental process of each child as imperative and are happy to see students thrive while learning in a safe and inviting setting.

Infant/Waddler Care

Our locations provide an Infant and Waddler Classroom.  The rooms give infants and toddlers a nurturing environment to play and grow.  Each days schedule is based on your child’s individual needs.  Teachers hold and cuddle each child during bottle-feeding and story time.  Our Waddler play-zone room allows children to crawl, climb and move over play mats and are stimulated with fun, educational toys.

PreSchool Care

Our centers provide care for ages 2 and older.  In the Two’s Room, children are provided an active environment to play and explore.  Teachers plan activities for arts, circle time, music and manipulatives. Two’s begin potty training at their own pace with encouragement from their peers and caregivers.

Classes in our Three’s, Four’s, and Five’s begin a full, enriched Pre-K curriculum. Students learn concepts to prepare them for Kindergarten which include math, writing, arts, reading, computers and science.
Children enjoy exploring and making friends during learning centers and group play.

School-age Care

Our School-age students are happy to have an inviting place to play and relax before and after school each day.  Each afternoon students are allowed time to work on homework and then unwind during free play and group games. Local Elementary school buses pick up and drop off students that live in the same area as Tyke Town. Tyke Town drops and picks up to some local schools at our Lake St. Louis and St. Peters locations.
